Barak has been performing onstage since he was five, where he played a variety of shepherd boys and tin soldiers in his church’s elaborate productions. Later in high school he fell in love with sketch comedy and the joy of making audiences laugh. In his 20s he helped form the touring improv comedy troupe Isaac Improv, where he performed hundreds of shows across the country to over 100,000 people.

After a decade as a full time traveling improvisor , Barak began training at classic comedy institutions like UCB, Groundlings, and Second City. He spent many years on the beloved UCB sketch team New Money. He is now working on his new show, The Society of Creative Adventurers.

LA since 2007, and jumped head first into the world of commercial acting. Over the years, he’s been on your TV and Hulu-ad breaks nearly nonstop, appearing in over 100 commercials, including 3 Super Bowl ads and a solid two year run of being the face of a Swedish soft drink. This has allowed Barak to work with some the biggest stars and directors in the world, on sets that rival any summer blockbuster.
He attributes his longevity in the industry to understanding what the needs of the production are, and being able to be funny quick. Also, the Swedes love a beard.

His television credits include The Office, The Goldbergs, Shameless, Community, The Big Bang Theory, and Halt and Catch Fire. His proudest accomplishment is being the first guest on Andy Day’s Review (a perfect show).

Barak’s roles span from the comedic to the dramatic, as evidence by his indie thriller feature film Spell, which he wrote, produced and starred in. Some of his favorite feature film credits include the horror films The Mortuary Collection and Mockingbird, the post-apocalypse Bounty Killer and Evidence which stands proudly at 6% on Rotten Tomatoes.
